Additional Information
Candle Safety
IMPORTANT: Candle Safety
Make sure that candles are placed in a fire-resistant candle holder
Keep candles away from furniture and curtains
Leave at least 10cm between burning candles
Never leave a candle unattended
Use a snuffer to put out candles
Keep candles, matches and lighters away from children and pets.
We recommend snuffing out the candle when the level of wax has burnt down close to the base of the jar.
Eco Candle Cover
Our candles come with an eco-friendly wildflower seed dust cover, we believe in the importance of sustainability, and our seed paper embodies that ethos perfectly.
How to plant your seed paper:
Step 1: Soak in water for 24-48 hours.
Fill a shallow container with room temperature water. Gently place the seed paper into the water, ensuring it's fully submerged. Allow the seed paper to soak for 24 to 48 hours. This time frame allows the seeds to absorb water, kickstarting the germination process.
Step 2: Transfer to a pot with compost, water regularly.
After soaking, prepare a pot with well-draining compost or potting soil. Gently transfer the soaked seed paper onto the surface of the compost. Lightly press the seed paper into the compost to ensure good soil contact. Water the pot regularly, keeping the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Alternatively, if you prefer, you can continue to leave the seed paper in water until you notice the seeds starting to sprout, and then transfer them to the compost.
Step 3: Keep in a warm place (very important!) with natural light.
Place the pot in a warm location with access to natural light, such as a sunny windowsill or greenhouse. Ensure the temperature remains consistently warm, as this is crucial for seed germination. Aim for a temperature range of 18 to 24 degrees Celsius (65 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit). Provide adequate ventilation to prevent mold growth, especially in humid conditions. Monitor the moisture levels in the soil, making sure it never dries out completely. However, be cautious not to overwater, as this can lead to rot or fungal issues.
Step 4: Enjoy your blooms!
As the seeds germinate and grow, continue to provide care by watering as needed and ensuring they receive sufficient light. Over time, the seedlings will develop into mature plants and eventually bloom, providing a beautiful display of flowers. Enjoy the fruits of your labour and the beauty of nature's cycle from seed to plant to bloom!
Candle Care
Candle Care Guide
- Set the Wax Memory
For a smooth, even burn, let the wax pool all the way to the edges the first time you light your candle. Each time you use it, burn long enough for the wax to melt to the edges again, ensuring a balanced burn and preserving the candle's "wax memory." - Patience with the Wick
You may notice a little smoke when you first light the wick this is normal! Allow a moment for the wax to draw up fully, and the smoke will dissipate on its own. - Trim for Perfection
Keep your candle looking elegant by trimming the wick to ¼ inch before each burn. This helps prevent any soot buildup and keeps your candle burning evenly. Our wicks, made from high-quality cotton, are carefully chosen to deliver the best burn with minimal sooting. - A Clean Finish
To extinguish your candle, use a candle snuffer. This prevents excess smoke, allowing the fragrance to linger beautifully in the air without any interference.
